It's never too late in life for something if you really want it, right? Brigitte Nielsen would probably have to agree. The Danish actress recently gave birth to Frida, her fifth child and first daughter, at the age of 54.
While Nielsen isn't the oldest woman ever to give birth (that title belongs to Daljinder Kaur, an Indian woman who, in 2016, gave birth at the age of 72), she is considerably older than most. The actress, famous for her roles in films such as Red Sonja and Rocky IV, announced her pregnancy around a month ago on Instagram.
Since going public with her pregnancy, Nielsen has received an overwhelmingly positive response from her fans. Thousands sent her congratulations and words of encouragement; many also asked questions about IVF (in-vitro fertilization). Later, she posted a picture with her husband, Mattia Dessi, the father of Frida, writing, "you'll be a great papà ?? Ti amo ????."
At the time of her birth, Frida weighed 5 lb. 9 oz. When Frida turns 18, Nielsen will be 72. Her husband Mattia will only be 57, however.
